In 2006 Song won two Best Actor awards for The Host. In 2007 he won five Best Actor awards for The Show Must Go On and three more Best Actor Awards for Secret Sunshine. He starred in The Good, the Bad, and the Weird in 2008 and won three more Best Actor Awards for Thirst in 2009. In 2010 he starred in Secret Reunion and A Little Pond and in 2011 Hindsight. He starred in the movies Howling and Day Trip in 2012. In 2013 he starred in Snowpiercer and won two Best Actor Awards for The Face Reader and one more for The Attorney. His latest role came starring in the film Sado in 2014.
