He was a professional soccer player before he suffered a career ending knee injury in 2005 and started to play poker. In 2008 he won the GUKPT Luton Main Event worth over $215 thousand. In 2011 he cashed for over $3 million in just one month playing in super high buy-in small field tournaments. He won the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in Cannes in 2011 and won one million Euro. As of February 2014 he had won just shy of $20 million in total live tournament winnings.
