In 2006 he wrote and produced the video Like Mike 2: Street Ball and in 2007 he wrote and produced the TV movie Wifey. Elliot wrote the 2010 film Just Wright and the 2014 TV movie Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. In 2011 he won an Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture (Theatrical or Television) for Just Wright. Elliott has also been nominated for three Black Reel Awards.
