In 2009 he signed a three year deal worth $36 million with the Mets. Perez signed a one year deal worth $1.5 million with the Seattle Mariners in 2012. In 2014 he signed a two year deal worth $4.25 million with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Perez has also represented the Mexican national team in the World Baseball Classic in 2006, 2009, and 2013. Through the 2014 season Perez has a win loss record of 65 – 79 with 1,300 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.45.
