In the fall of 2011, she sold 7.3 million shares of Hyatt to her cousins, Jean Pritzker, and Thomas Pritzker, the current chairman of Hyatt. Marmon is an industrial conglomerate and the Pritzker family ultimately decided to sell it. Marmon is now primarily owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Corporation. He purchased Marmon for $4.5 billion in 2007. Ms. Pritzker currently lives in St. Ignatius, Montana with her family, and is widely known as a staunch supporter of Democratic and Liberal causes and organizations, including MoveOn.org and Planned Parenthood.
