Price was the AL ERA leader in 2012 and 2015 and was the MLB strikeout leader in 2014. He also won the Golden Spikes Award in 2007 and won a gold medal representing the United States at the 2006 World University Championship. Price helped the Rays reach their first World Series in 2008. In 2007 he signed a six year deal for $11.25 million and in 2015 he signed a one year deal for $19.75 million which set a record. In 2016 he signed a seven year deal with Boston for $217 million. Between June 2018 and June 2018, David Price earned $31 million from salary and endorsements.
